No Written Assessment! This 100% practical course can be delivered with an outdoor focus, can be delivered in conjunction with the 1-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course, dual certification is available.

Practising CPR where it's likely to happen, on on the farm on an Outdoor First Aid Course.
Outdoor First Aid Training covers the CPR and the Safe Use of an AED, alongside this we look at the limitations of this whilst working in remote locations and the Wilderness Protocols.

Course Title - Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid Emergency Action - 8hr (OFAEA)

Description - This 8-hour course is aimed at staff working in rural settings where help is available but can be delayed. Tailored for those working somewhat remotely such as school visit leaders or PE staff and agricultural or horticultural staff working with large animals or machinery. This course is perfect for the like of those in Agriculture and Industry, where serious injury can happen and due to your environment, help is delayed, but not protracted, where your First Aid Needs Assessment identifies where help shouldn’t be more than half an hour away. Training is delivered predominantly outdoors and in a practical methodology. Different to Workplace First Aid courses, our Outdoor First Aid courses are designed to provide outdoor incident management skills.
Specific Content - Roles & responsibilities of an Outdoor First Aider, adult & child specific treatments, dealing with collapse (with and without breathing), CPR & AED, drowning, choking, minor and catastrophic bleeding, shock, using first aid kit, monitoring a casualty for more than 10 minutes.
RQF Regulation & Accreditation - This qualification is regulated in the UK by ITC First. ITC are an Awarding organisation regulated by OfQual and SQA Accreditation. The qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF). The skills and knowledge will be taught in a realistic outdoor context and will satisfy the first aid requirements for a single day course with the outdoor industry National Governing Bodies and the Outdoor Learning Outdoor First Aid Training Framework
Additional Certification - The Assessment Pathway for this course covers the content for other qualifications, and therefore delegates can request additional certification this OFAEA course includes content for the following:
- Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (6hr)
- Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (6hr)
- First Aid at Work Forestry Element (+F) (+2hr)
