Course Title - Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (6hr) including Forestry (+F) element (2hr) (EFAW+F)
Cost - EFAW+F from £105pp (or £25 as an additional certificate)
Description - The Forestry First Aid (+F) Element is an additional 2hr supplement to more traditional workplace courses for those working in Agriculture or Arboriculture/ Forestry Work. This +F Element is delivered within the normal EFAW syllabus making an 8hr comprehensive training day. The training delivery will allow plenty of opportunity for skills development, straightforward practice and application of appropriate procedures. This qualification satisfies the statutory HSE obligations of the employer following an appropriate First Aid Needs Assessment.
Specific Content - EFAW Content: Vital Signs, Incident Management, Airway Management, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Choking, Burns, Minor Injuries and Shock & Current regulations & Record keeping. +F Element Content: Bleeding control, Crush & Catastrophic Injuries, Temperature related illnesses, Lyme Disease.
RQF Regulation & Accreditation - This qualification is regulated in the UK by ITC First. ITC are an Awarding organisation regulated by OfQual and SQA Accreditation. The qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Additional Certification - The Assessment Pathway for this course covers the content for other qualifications, and therefore delegates can request additional certification this EFAW+F course includes content for the following:
