Course Title - Level 3 Award in Forest School First Aid - 16hr (FSFA)

Description - Aimed at staff working with young people in the Forest School setting and following the same format as the Outdoor First Aid qualification, this course is tailored specifically to meet the needs of the Level 3 Forest School Leader, working remotely in UK woodland with young people in a Forest School setting. Including child and infant first aid protocols, this course meets the updated 2021 Resuscitation Council guidelines for Paediatric First Aid.
Specific Content - Roles & responsibilities of a First Aider working remotely; adult/ child/ infant specific treatments; dealing with collapse (with and without breathing); CPR & AED use; drowning; choking; burns, minor & catastrophic bleeding, and shock; major illnesses; torso and limb injuries; environmental effects on health as well as heat and cold injuries; outdoor incident management; patient packaging and casualty care; stabilisation and preparation for evacuation.
RQF Regulation & Accreditation - This qualification is regulated in the UK by ITC First. ITC are an Awarding organisation regulated by OfQual and SQA Accreditation. The qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Additional Certification - The Assessment Pathway for this course covers the content for other qualifications, and therefore delegates can request additional certification this FSFA course includes content for the following:
