Different Perspective Training came in to run two 4hr Basic First Aid for Teachers for our staff INSET. The delegates feedback was extremely positive, mentioning the well paced and interactive sessions with sensitive delivery of topics. Matt's understanding of school environments, systems and policies meant that his training was well linked to the way we work here at Roedean School, especially trough using realistic school-based scenarios inside and outside of the classroom.
Roedean School - Mr Leland Fieldsend, Head of Experiential Learning
We engaged Different Perspective Training Ltd upon recommendation from the Royal Geographical Society and have been thoroughly impressed with Matt's delivery of the 2-day Off-Site Safety Management course. The delegates, who were all either Head of School or Fieldwork leaders, were incredibly pleased with the delivery of this course, so much so, that we have booked Matt and Different Perspective Training to deliver this essential course to the rest of our team of Fieldwork Leaders. Some of the feedback received was;
- As a manager, it helped me to identify areas for improvement in terms of process, protocol and communications.
- I feel much more empowered to make decisions in a fieldtrip scenario.
- I think this should be required training for all staff on fieldtrips, not just trip leaders.
- Excellent training style with varied teaching and learning activities and very useful role-play.
University of Plymouth - Mr Mark Hagger, Marine & Field Safety Co-ordinator
Matt delivers critical thinking workshops to schools across the country. These workshops are designed to encourage and open up dialogue on sensitive issues surrounding terrorism and extremism, a challenge which Matt takes in his stride. The feedback received from his workshops and assemblies is consistently excellent, with the vast majority of schools requesting for Matt to come back and deliver again to their students. Matt’s workshops and assemblies reached some 2000 students of varying age groups across a number of challenging topics, delivered with confidence and expertise.
Since 9-11 - Mr Liam Duffy, Charity Director
Matt is an engaging and dynamic facilitator, who connects with young people and adults alike. He has delivered workshops in variety of education settings for KL Education Consultants, and the feedback has always been excellent. Matt is also extremely professional, knowledgeable and reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
KL Education Consultants - Mrs Sim Khera-Lye, Director
Matt has delivered numerous training programmes for us in both Fieldwork Safety and First Aid to a variety of clients; corporate, schools and universities. The feedback has always been exemplary, and the delegates have found his delivery engaging, informative and refreshing.
Training Expertise - Mr Richard Mayon-White, Managing Director, Expertise Consultancy Group
Whilst working at Downe House as the Head of Co-Curricular Activities, Matt reviewed and overhauled our external visits policy, making it more workable and practicable. As well as delivering whole staff CPD sessions on risk assessments and trip planning, Matt also delivered First Aid training to Academic, House and Support Staff which was well received. Before students went overseas on Charitable House Trips, Matt ran a variety of country specific, travel safety sessions ensuring that our girls knew what actions to take in the event of an unplanned situation.
