Course Title - Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid - 6hr (EPFA)

Description - Aimed at staff working with young people in the Early Years Foundation Stage setting, this qualification indicates an individual can undertake the role of first aider in a position that has responsibility of caring for infants and children. It may also have been identified as necessary by a workplace risk assessment. The qualification will benefit all who spend time in the early years’ environment and with young children.

Specific Content- Planning for and dealing with first aid emergencies involving babies and children Including, Vital signs, Incident management, Airway Management, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Choking, Seizures, Bleeding control & shock, Minor Injuries & burns, Current regulations & record keeping.

RQF Regulation & Accreditation - This qualification is regulated in the UK by ITC First. ITC are an Awarding organisation regulated by OfQual and SQA Accreditation. The qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
