Course Title – Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid Emergency Action - 8hr (OFAEA)
Target Group- Staff working beyond the workplace, outdoors and beyond immediate assistance.
RQF Regulation & Accreditation - This qualification is regulated in the UK by ITC First. ITC are an Awarding organisation regulated by OfQual and SQA Accreditation. The qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Prior Learning- None
Description - The qualification introduces the techniques, skills and decisions that will be needed by the outdoor practitioner perhaps hours from assistance, in the British Isles. The skills and knowledge will be taught in a realistic outdoor context and will satisfy the first aid requirements for instructors with most outdoor industry National Governing Bodies who specify the need for a single day outdoor first aid course. This qualification meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning Outdoor First Aid Training Framework. This qualification would also satisfy the statutory HSE obligations of an employer who has identified the need for a single day outdoor first aid course in their first aid needs assessment and can be dual certificated to include EFAW +F.
